| | Event Description | World Exposition Expo 2025 is an upcoming World Expo organised and sanctioned by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which will be held in Osaka, Japan. The theme of Expo 2025 is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives" with subthemes of "Saving Lives", "Empowering Lives" and "Connecting Lives." Activities under this themes are aligned with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) whose ultimate objective is to realise a diverse, inclusive and sustainable society backed with the pledge to ensure "no one will be left behind." The Expo expects participants from local governments in the Kansai area, leading private-sector companies from Japan and overseas, and NGOs, NPOs, citizen's groups, SMEs and individuals.
